How can I help my boss prioritise and stay positive when they are feeling overwhelmed?
You need to be calm and positive. We don’t have control over how other people feel but we can lead by example and often your calmness will be contagious. The best thing you can do is get on with the job and filter as much as possible to give them a bit of a break.
As for prioritising, your boss knows how to prioritise. If they don’t then you need to have a conversation with them to figure it out together. See what you can do to make life easier but remember that there are going to be days like this and they’re not to be taken personally and they don’t necessarily need to be fixed so much as managed.
